All is well

*TMI alert*

To look at her running around and playing or even throwing a temper tantrum in the supermarket you wouldn't know how sick she was last weekend. You'd have to undress her to see her incisions and she isn't in to showing them off.  Even with all of that good news it was hard to hear the pediatrician say 'You saved her life'.

I knew it was urgent since the surgeon wouldn't wait 5 minutes while I finished washing & putting on clothes.  I wasn't just bathing because it had been a couple of days since my last shower.  We needed baths since little girl couldn't hold in the enema and had leaked on to me a couple of times.  Oh the things parents do because their child needs cuddles.  But to hear the pediatrician say that I saved her life.  It shook me a bit.  It's nice to have the pediatrician affirm that we did exactly right. 

Today at her follow-up the pediatrician talked about how she'd been concerned for Victoria and the nurses too.  But was happy to see such a great outcome.

After a trip back upstairs for a diaper change and pants change we walked all over the garden.  Those paths didn't have IV poles in mind when they were designed. 

All tuckered out after seeing the fish, garden, piano, and gift shop.

She scooted this toy from one end of the floor to the other.  Was tired and hurting a little by the time she got to the elevators. Had to have mommy push a bit on the way back to the room.

Chest therapy is always more fun when shared with a friend.   Just a couple of hours before discharge.
