This week we went to the circus! The greatest show on earth. We lucked out with cheap tickets thanks to our neighbor. But I bought her one heck of an expensive box of popcorn! They were the same price. Then we bought a fancy light-up cup of Dippin' Dots so she could have something that lit up. It cost almost as much as the cheapest light-up toy they sold. She loved the elephants and even cheered them on. It was super cute.

We're already planning a trip to see Disney on ice - which will include a trip to the dollar tree for glow sticks for the girls to play with and not beg for the really expensive light-up do-dads they sell at the event!
Victoria had a date with her Daddy on Saturday night. They played Uno! Victoria won her very first game. Then got creamed once and one game went through nearly the whole deck - with just two people! She's not yet a graceful looser. Which I encountered when we played when I got home. With pretty much identical results - 1 victory for Victoria, 1 victory for me, and 1 game that was really close, but I ultimately won.
After card games it was time for dinner. Victoria chose pizza. She ate 3 whole slices! Not 3 slices from a personal pizza either. Three whole slices of a large pizza! Then she ate cookies too. I was stunned when he told me how much she ate. Where did she put it all? Her belly was sticking out a bit at bedtime. Good thing she wears elastic waistbands nearly all the time.
We've had some set backs with toileting. That's never fun. I hate giving baths in the middle of the night. And I hate changing sheets all-the-time. And encouraging pull-ups over her underwear to save a load of wash didn't work. She took that as an excuse to use the pull-ups instead of walking to the potty from the family room. I won't try that again. Most noticeably she doesn't wake up to use the potty when she hasn't had enough sleep. I suppose she sleeps too hard. Today she had three baths to compensate. On the positive side, she's getting better about using public toilets even without her potty seat. Though she's still afraid of falling in and only let me hold her when she really, really needs to. I hope the more we encounter that the better she'll get a balancing on her own.
On the way home from shopping today, she said she had energy for everything. She told me she had energy for singing, energy for talking, energy for eating, even energy for sleeping! So I suggested she sleep the rest of the way home. She practically fell asleep at that instant. Then she had to have a two hour nap before she had enough energy to eat again. ;-)
Glad the belly pain is gone! 3 pieces of pizza for a small girl like herself is very impressive! Go Victoria!
